Our beloved Philippines is well-known for its rich and diverse culture and traditions. All of these were formed by geography and the wonders of our history. However, with the onset of modernity, cultural or indigenous communities were subjected to a slew of prejudices, were marginalized, were deprived of their right to their ancestral domains, and were displaced from the land on which they depended for a living. With that, Ating Kulayan intends to advocate for these minorities, develop cultural awareness, and serve as catalysts in allowing our fellow Filipinos to experience the world through the eyes of our tribal brothers and sisters.
